Configuring PhpStorm and Git

This document assumes that:

You have a working install of (Git)[http://git-scm.com/] on your system.

Steps

Install git-flow.
Access PhpStorm settings (Linux, Windows: File > Settings, Mac: PhpStorm > Preferences).
Expand Version Control and select Git.
Enter the Path to Git executable and click Test to make sure it is found.
Click OK.
