When a digital key Guest arrives before noon, and before the system has issued a digital key, you will:
- Retrieve the Guest's reservation. You will see the Guest has completed digital check-in and has opted for a digital key, based on the icon on the luggage tag. At this point, your check-in must occur in the Dashboard; otherwise, the Guest will not automatically receive a digital key.
- Go to the Daily Activity screen on the dashboard and locate the Guest.
- Click the “Early Checkin” check box. This will allow the system to automatically issue the digital key prior to noon.
After a moment, the reservation will appear in-house in OnQ PM, and the Guest will receive the digital key.
[Subtitle] Room is Not Vacant/Ready
If a digital key Guest arrives before noon and the assigned room is not Vacant/Ready, the digital key will not be issued. In this situation:
- Offer an alternative room that is Vacant/Ready, if available
OR
- Wait until the assigned room is Vacant/Ready
If an alternate room is available, you will:
- Change the room assignment on the reservation to the new Vacant/Ready room.
- Go to the Daily Activity screen on the dashboard and locate the Guest.
- Click the “Early Checkin” check box. This will allow the system to automatically issue the digital key prior to noon.
After a moment, the reservation will appear in-house in OnQ PM, and the Guest will receive the digital key.
